Unusual Die Wear? 1955-D Lincoln

    I am used to seeing die wear on the periphery, but this seems different. On the obverse, it looks like Lincoln has 3 extra profiles and on the reverse, America is so wavy that it looks like the "R" is backwards. Insights would be appreciated.

    And parts of the design that should be raised are incuse. The only thing I can think of that could cause all of this is intentional alteration.

    Thats is different, I have not seen anything like it.

    It looks similar to some acid-dipped cents I have seen...
