Great story. I was there Wednesday with my wife. She collects foreign coins and I collect paper money. I remember passing by your booth, although at the time I didn't know about The Penny Lady. We live in South Elgin, just a couple of miles from the Grand Victoria Casino. Glad you received all those awards.

 

Congrats Charmy! It was good seeing you at the show.

 

There is quite a bit of materiel made from 1797 pennies and twopence coins - they were 1 and 2 oz coins.

Awesome show report!

1. I was surprised that you had a picture Liberty Coin's owner there, the second branch of store is literally at the top of my street.
2. Sounds like JK is busy as usual.
3. Looks like I'm not the only one who loves to get in first.

Charmy, which steakhouse did you prefer, Gibsons or Sullivans? Wife's birthday is coming up and I wanted to splurge on dinner.

 

Congrats on your exhibit , and the next time in Chicago you should take in a White Sox game instead of the Cubs . lol Or better yet a Blackhawks game .

 

Good grief, you are almost as bad as me! So I guess we will be in a friendly competition. BTW I don't know of anybody who has more fun at coin shows than you do.

I don't often day I told you so...but I seem to remember a conversation over the idea of that being a good exhibit subject.

In the photo of the WIN meeting the woman directly in front of the slide screen is Prue Fitts, a good friend of mine and a fellow Boston Numismatic Society member.
