You might enjoy reading carefully, and to do so on things like "the science of correct thinking" once your comprehension skills are honed.

You completely miss the point entirely that I didn't proffer something that needed to be proven, merely asked a question, to which others made claims, something that might need to be proven. Anything I later claimed was self evident, do you not agree?

Why do you even make a post like that at this juncture? I guess this thread got hijacked by my question ( I formally apologize) and what ensued ( that part is not on me) , but your post wasn't about any of that nor the OP itself, you just thought you could poke fun and ends up the joke is on you. Do help me with my lack of coin experience, but don't try to challenge my skill set. Please?

On the other hand, on eBay, that seller who just got a windfall may be bidding against you in the very next auction. I see an awful lot of sellers who are also buyers there.

And I would have thought that someone of your vast experience would be able to use HTML tags correctly. Guess not!

I will answer your question despite the fact that you refuse to answer some of mine. You don't need to prove anything to anybody if you don't want to. However, there are consequences in your decision not to prove yourself. You admit to being a coin noob. By taking the position that sniper programs are useless, you present yourself as an E-Bay noob as well. Do you really think that all of the experienced E-Bay users who have posted about the benefits of sniping are wrong? So when you refuse to provide us with your evidence of your experience level on E-Bay, it only furthers our suspicion that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Furthermore, you claim that you are not a complete idiot. The problem with that statement is that it reflects how you perceive yourself. Whether you really are a complete idiot or not can only really be decided by how others perceive you. If you are interested in how others perceive you on this forum I encourage you to start a thread and ask everyone if they think you are a complete idiot or not. You might be surprised at the results.

The only way to get people to listen to you on an internet forum is to either provide your credentials or demonstrate your knowledge by making intelligent and informative posts. You have decided to do neither which means you must have an ulterior motive. And we both know what that is, don't we?

Now I have been nice enough to answer your question. Perhaps you will be polite enough to answer some of my questions and I have a few. First, why are you so worried about "the management" of this forum? Have they warned you about your behavior already? What is the meaning of your username? What is your avatar? What is your E-Bay username? Do you prefer Sci-Fi or Fantasy?

And to prove that I ask these questions in good faith, I promise they are questions that I will freely answer about myself:

My username (Lehigh96) is my alma mater and year of graduation.
My avatar is the obverse of my 1939-D Rev of 40 Jefferson Nickel NGC MS67
My E-Bay username is the same as my Cointalk username, Lehigh96
I prefer Fantasy, my favorite fantasy game is Baldur's Gate. Wanna know my character name on Baldur's Gate?

I'm simply adding a few quotes to the conversation table that a few might find interesting. Not trying to "poke fun" at anyone, and I'm sorry that you happened to interpret my message (?) in a negative way, especially considering I didn't actually write any words.
I simply found that the two quotes were contradictory in their message, or an example of a "double standard", if you will. But now with my work good and done, I humbly step out from the conversation and return to lurking (and reading this thread as I sip my tea while reclining in a comfortable chair by the fireplace). :)

Except that if you understood the context of them you would realize the hatchet edit job and misrepresentation you performed. I bet anybody's posts could be made 'interesting' with appropriate selective out of context quoting technique.

There is no double standard in how I used those, you just made an editing misrepresentation to impute something onto me that was not true nor representative of my posts. Is that called libel?

I'll go out on a limb here and guess that you don't understand what was written in my posts, not even the explanatory one in response to your misrepresentation.

You are just making trouble here and not addressing the topic. Why?

Go back and read what led up to my statements which you snip quoted out of context. While doing that keep this analogous example in mind:

Person X, Looking at a car asks "is that a slow car?"

Z responds : it goes a hundred miles an hour.

X: Not sure about that, so far, based on (blah blah) How can we know that, and, is that considered fast?

Z: You prove that it is a slow car!

X: Why should I have to prove anything, I am inquiring?

    later:

Z: Well, I happen to be really really smart at everything and I know it goes 100 mph and that 100 mph is fast.

X: Can you give me some valid evidence as to that?

    Z: I just know.

X: prove something, then we can talk about it.

    Simon edits this down to

"X: Why should I have to prove anything" and

"X: prove something, then we can talk about it."

    and claims double standard!!

Ah, but we are talking about coins, not cars. :)

Ok, NOW I humbly step out and resume lurking. :D

You just can't stop stepping in it.

Look up this word "analogous" (assuming you noticed it was used)

    Then think about it.

How about we make a deal. You try to help me with coins and I'll try to help you with reading writing comprehension and logic. OK?
