grant presidential dollar coin no "in god we trust"

I admit I have not looked at EVERY piece of U.S. money that has gone through my hands, but why don't the grant presidential dollar coins have "in god we trust" on them? advice appreciated

Moved this topic from "Error Coins" to "US Coins". Note however that, with the presidential dollars issued in 2009 and later, the IGWT motto was moved from the edge to the obverse. And that should include the Grant coins too. Hmm.

IN GOD WE TRUST is in the field, on the obverse side ! I think in 2009 was taken off of the rim

 

It shows just below the bust on the one pictured in the Red Book.

Any, to the OP: Do you really have a coin without the motto? Can you share a photo of the obverse?

 

oh damn. it's been a while since I did a dumb dumb. I was looking for doubled edge lettering on a bunch of dollar coins and noticed it was not there. didn't think of checking front. sorry. everyone that said on the edge is in the same boat as me. it IS on the front. darn :-(
