Searched my first $50 of dimes- GOOD FIND

I searched my first 500 dimes and found a 1954 silver rosevelt dime... I got me hooked and now I can't wait to get more!

I found 2 roosies today in $80 worth of dimes. hooked.

 

it seams the average silver dime to number searched is 1 in every30-50.

 

If only......

 

Really? I've searched $800 and only found 2. Guess I'm doing something wrong.

absolutely. I have spreadsheets for every denomination that I search. I track everything.

Being a cashier at I supermarket for a year and a half, I have opened hundreds of dime rolls and have only found 1 silver dime, a 1963. I was very happy that day Also found 2 silver quarters, a 1962 and 1964.

 

The two silver quarters are nice!

I search about 30 rolls of dimes per month and have found no silver dimes since March 15, 2013 and only five silver dimes this year. There're out there but getting very hard to find in the Triad area of North Carolina.




I have found only one silver war nickel this year, no silver quarters and only one 40% silver half. It takes a lot of patience and effort to find silver coins in coin rolls but it is still exciting and fun when you find one, even if not very often. Good luck!
