Hey cointalk, I noticed something quite interesti g about my NPQs. Some of the NPQs I got are 'Satiny', but some are rather 'Brilliant.' Anyone know what's with that?
Where did you acquired them? Companies love to get these plated in silver gold or platinum and charge a ridiculous mark up on them.
I got the p mint in a machine that you can exchange old quarters for new ones, btw it was El Yunque. The d mint, my parents got me for Christmas. From Littleton, but no plating or anything. Just very high prices...it's an Olympic.
lol.. yea most companies get them buy the case from coin depot or some other place like a bank and pay little to no premium at all charge you a whole lot and make 20-30 bucks on your order
had a guy name norman who got a slew of state quarters like this from qvc or hsn or something like that .. and he brought them to me.. where can I sell these or would I like to buy them .. I told him he got ripped off.. seriously he wasted his time..not to mention money..
No offense but why not just call the quarter a quarter? It is possible that the satin mint are from mint sets. Although the picture makes it look like a coating like what I've seen on some coins that sat in packaging in bad environments.
Not to pick nits, but for those who care, they are not national park quarters. They are America The Beautiful Quarters. Only 10 of the the 20 quarters released so far designate national parks. If we are going to create acronyms, could we at least do it correctly? They should be called ATBQs.
I am sure you don't mean what I think that acronym means but when referring to bands ... something like this http://www.stfumusic.org maybe? Christian
