I was born in 1973 and I've put together a nice little set of coins for my birth year. 40% silver Ike, uncirculated half dollar and penny, and a proof nickel, dime, and quarter. My question is were any 1973 40% silver half dollars struck? I'd like to have one for my collection.

Nope 1970 was last year of the 40% silver halves. Except in 1976 for the bicentennial. (Red Book)

The Red Book is a great resource for this type of information.

Silver proofs were ceased to be made after 1964. They were re-introduced in your 'birth year'.........
