rlm already covered the picture size. I would also like to remind you grading from pictures can be, and is, harder than grading with a coin in your hand. With the coin in hand you can twirl it to get an idea of the luster and hits. Even with the best pictures you might see something that causes you to take it down or up a grade. Coin in hand is better. You might also want to get the ANA grading guide. In my opinion as long as you are within 1 point of the grade I think it is pretty good. Now the import part is rlm does not just post the grade - he posts his opinion and observations at the same time. That is very helpful. As matter of fact if I said 66, the tpg said 65 and rlm says he thinks 66 - then I consider it a victory. Especially since I only had the pictures. I like these threads and I wish others had hundreds of graded coins to share so we can practice with.
Great advice , as we and Mark wished there were more threads like this one . It's not only fun as he said but has helped me and if I can speak for some others , most of us improve our grading . My thanks to rlms cents , for all the work he does to make this the success it is .
Indeed....I'll thank Dick again for the 100th time. I've enjoyed doing these over the years, fun and quite challenging at times.
