    Yummy, yummy!!

=> LostDutchman => huh, although I buy "a lot" of coins, I have never bought a "lot" of coins (I've always bought them separately) ... but that bunch looks like a herd of winners!! (nice score)

    :)

There are two kings of 'lots'. Avoid groups put together because none of the coins were worth buying as a single. The good 'lot' is a 'collection' put together with love out of coins selected individually by a collector who had some desire to buy worthwhile coins in the first place. Dealers like LD get both types but the good stuff comes when Steve's grandchildren drop into his shop and want to unload all that stupid old stuff that Steve paid top dollar to have shipped to the northern wilds. That is one lot I'd like to see walk into my shop (if I had a shop, of course).

Hieron II of Syracuse (spelled out in exergue). 275-215 BC AE27 (you should have told us that part). Mine was $89 from Stacks in 1992. You are not Stacks and this is not 1992 so I'd say that about balances out.
