Hey Peter, im having issues uploading photos in messages on my PC and uploading any photos via my iPhone through tapatalk. Any suggestions?

Let me clarify just a little. I had an issue before uploading a picture to a thread and we talked about how there was an upload file button below the response box. I assumed it was the same in our private mail, but I didnt see any alternate way to upload. It is only giving me the option to upload via URL.

Also, when I try to upload photos via the tapatalk platform it prompts for me to enter my login ID info as it says its for additional protection and I am wondering if there is some sort of restriction set on your end that asks mobile users to verify their accounts. (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO RESPONSES OR THREADS I START, MOSTLY MESSAGES OR IN THE FOR SALE SECTION) Normally I wouldnt have an issue re-logging in, however it is NOT acknowledging my login information. It kicks back and says the same message again about entering my user id as a way to protect my photos.

I will try and screen shot what I am talking about for some additional help on the matter.

    Trey

If what you are talking about is where it says - Users OnLine Now - the only names you will ever see are all registered members. Of course that is because Guests don't have any names to begin with.

It was the same way with the old software.

Where can I find Users Online Now? All I see are Registered Members (which shows all members online or not) or Current Visitors and Current Visitors is clouded up with Guest(s) and what they are viewing.

Before, I would go Users Online Now>Members And I could see only members

    Peter,

Any update on when we are going to get back our "likes"?

Also, at least for me, the number of posts that a member has and their join date do not show up under their name on the left when someone posts. I think that information is useful to know whether someone is a newer member or has been around for a while. Any chance that can be added back?

Yep, but I want to see if for everyone without any additional clicks. Like it was before. Less clicky is better...

By and large I do not care much about the number of posts that a member has made. There are topics where that info can be helpful - but then I can click on the avatar or username as green18 mentioned. I prefer a sort of "lean" look myself. ;)

The "old likes" are apparently not that easy to transfer or import. Peter may be able to get that done, but I would not count on it. And many of us now have "new likes" anyway - and will get more!

With this software trophy points are assigned automatically by the software itself as members reach certain milestones. Such as -

    First Message Points: 1

    Somebody Likes You Points: 2

    Keeps Coming Back Points: 5

    Can't Stop! Points: 10

    I Like It a Lot Points: 10

    Seriously Likeable! Points: 15

    Addicted Points: 20

Can't Get Enough of Your Stuff Points: 20

    I LOVE IT! Points: 30

To acquire those numbers of points, a member has to pass a certain milestone. Sometimes it's a single Like, sometimes it's a hundred Likes, sometimes it's the number of messages you have posted, etc.

Christian, I want the likes back because I used the likes I gave OTHERS as a way of bookmarking threads and/or coins that I wanted to keep markers for. I can't imagine I'm the only person who used the "like" system for that, and it would be nice if that would be brought back. Maybe I'm just a grumpy curmudgeon who doesn't like change, but I much preferred the old look and feel of the boards. This new board feels too "bubbly" and face-book like. It's a bit annoying...and I'm very much so a "computer person" -- I work in an IT field and am on a computer 8+ hours a day.

Actually no, I have not used Likes that way. Interesting. :) Well, keeping the old forum software was not an option - we could literally see how it fell apart. As for the new software, there are things that I like better, and others that were better before. Peter is probably the only one here who can tell you whether importing the old Likes back is doable. He has done the entire conversion, including posts, images and PMs - I was amazed when I saw the result.

Had he said that we merely need to replace our old Likes systems with a new one, I would have complained too if the previously given and received Likes disappeared. But since this changeover was much more comprehensive, I am willing to accept that there are parts that are difficult, maybe even impossible, to bring back.

    Side note: I don't do Facebook, but ... aren't Likes something very FB-ish? ;)

I suppose they are facebook-ish, but as I said, I used the Likes system to mark posts that I wanted to keep on a saved list. Now those are all gone. Just a bit annoying. I will live if we don't get our lists back. I was merely asking.
