I have been putting this coin collection together for a week .. I sold all my others, Here 1909-1930 book missing a few coins and a book 1930-1958 then just a bunch of better coins i put in holders.. what would be a good selling price? I did a sheet and went by the red book and I am just over 1900.00 . But not sure. Some error coins 200 coins or so.
Here's a pic Of the 1955 D/D Sorry I dont have a better close up .. But i dont have the microscope Up right now..This is the picture from a few days ago..But grade f-vf
The double die should look like this ... You're looks like a double struck D error. I"m not sure if there is any added value or not as I'm not an expert on wheat penny errors.
This was Just a double D for the mint mark.Thats how I listed it I believe,, But i am trying to find one Like your Picture.. A friend and I just unloaded A truck load of wheats here today for me to go throw..
Double 55D http://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-D-LINC...97?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a830a0945 Good luck finding a true 55 DDO. I know they were collected at the time and it is highly unluckly any have slipped through the cracks.
Thanks, I've collected for a lot of years and then life got in the way for about 20 or 30 years so I"m not up on all the terminology. I even had to look up what whizzed coin was. I thought maybe someone peed on it or something.
Yeah, it it hard to tell from the photo, but you never know what you'll find on eBay and I don't mean that necessarily in a good way.
