Any ideas about the slow-running script message? It's not going away. It makes me think of the days I would download with a dial-up service. Forever just to go from page to page as well as accessing the site.

I might be on to something. I reloaded a new desktop short cut and it is much faster now. I hope I didn't jinx myself by posting this. If it continues to work out, I'll post this information on the support thread where the others are having the same problem.

 

FWIW, I have become accustomed to the lack of a recent threads feature on the right, and as such I find myself using it very little now

 

I like it. It's sleek. Am I missing it, or are all blog entries gone?

well at least we can see when he is online right on the home page. I can quickly come in KO him and go out before he will even know what is happening

I'll buy the beer, if it's going to happen - this still on the radar to occur? Just curious, not sure I want to start leaving likes again if they'll wipe out with the next upgrade.

 

I don't think likes are as important as the number of posts and the join date. When I weigh someone's opinion or comment about a subject, the latter information comes into play. Especially the join date. The trouble makers, trolls, the permanently immature or just plain off the wall people; don't last long or stay. Now if they have proven credentials that can be verified when they are posting on CT, that's another story. Likes are given based on a persons own criteria, so sometimes you never understand why it was given in the first place. There is also a little vanity involved. Some people are humble about it, other's live for it and it shows. So I disregard it altogether.

 

well, change is always hard but it does look good...im sure we will all get used to it soon enough

 

after a few minutes I am decided....im diggin it! Everything seems to work smoothly and I really like that the recent topics category on the side of the page is back.....i didn't love having to go under the "whats new" tab on the top of the page.....for whatever reason it seemed to be a pain. Nice work guys, thank you for all the hard work you do so that we can enjoy this community, it is much appreciated.

 

One feature I miss was that before, you could look at what members were looking at on a list, rather than having to click on each person individually. This was fun to see how popular (or not) a newly created thread was.

 

Amazing, you put that whole software program together in just two hours after it was mentioned. :>)

 

When will we be able to upload photos to our albums again?
