Hey all. I'm super excited about the F.U.N. show this week to look for U.S. type coins. I'm able to attend Thursday and Friday all day, then I have to head back. Got plenty to spend, but nothing to sell. Anyone else going? If so, what are you shopping for?
Ditto on Chicago, but I will do the winter F.U.N. Show. FUN sums up all of their shows regardless of time of year. Where are you staying? Other's may want to know.
The show is located near the airport. Are you renting a car? That can make a difference where you stay. Walking to the convention center is limited to the immediate hotels. Sidewalks are not plentiful. Give me an idea of 3, 4 or 5 star accommodations. PM me if interested, so we don't high jack C-B-D's post. I live in the area, so my recommendations would be from what I hear as opposed to what I experienced. I leave that up to you.
I'll be there for the day on Thursday to hook up with my buddy, Shane. I won't be buying anything, but I will be taking along some CC Morgans to sell if the prices are right. Chris
wait wait wait, what is the one in chicago? if it is online, please either PM me the link to it, or leave a comment on my profile, i can't find it online
Well they might. I do not know about this weekend, but the way they worded it it sound like the WFOM.
You betcha........ The wife wants to go to FL. this coming January so how can I not comply? I was there at the FUN show in 2012 and let me ya it was awesome. Worth the trip Peter. Let's have lunch........... Ya gotta fix this danged 'devil' thingy dear fellow. I'm loosing my audience.....
Smilies are on the list of things to do. Tonight is sitemaps. I got the old links working (mostly) this afternoon.
I attended the one in early January of this year. The weather was just perfect and the show is one of the best. We had a little group meeting outside the building of the more senior CT people. I think it will happen again in 2014. (We passed some coins around and discussed the future of collecting in general). Booking your lodging through the official site, gave you a nice selection of hotels. All four or five star. I was there from Chicago for the entire five day program, and was glad I didn't miss a day.
The January FUN Show is probably the biggest show of the year with more than 1000 dealers attending. The 2014 show will be held at the West Building, and there is not as much parking available as there is for the North & South buildings. On the other hand, the Peabody Hotel is directly across from the main entrance of the West building which would make for an easy walk, thus eliminating the need for paying the $9.00 daily parking fee.
