I think that PCGS will grade it an MS65, and I think the cert number will be 525. Thanks for the contest!
By the time this is over(actually this day haha) I will be over 100 posts so here are my 2 cents for now! Grade: MS-65 Cert. #: 156
Grade: UNC Details Code 98 - metal movement Cert #: 777 Honestly I hope it grades because it's a beautiful coin and without the ding it's an easy MS65. In any case, Good luck and happy early 4th of July everyone!
ok, I'm going to be the voice of doom and gloom here and say that I think that the coin will grade MS-64 for overall obverse strike weakness (common with this date), the hit on the feather and the hits on the reverse. The coin has excellent eye appeal, but I don't think that the strike is sharp enough for 65 I'll guess 614 for the cert #
OMG! Looking at the coin again right beore it ends. I'm starting to change my mind. I was looking at this coin again and at the replies and what some others said. I then noticed the little dings on the reverse and obverse I didn't see on my phone. If you will Let me ( you don't have to) change my answer from ms66 to 63) cert number:538. Thanks for the contest! And good luck you guys! Stay safe on the fourth!!
Hey Everyone, The entries for the contest are finalized. Thank you for those who participated. There were a few entries that were not eligible since the CT join date was not prior to 2013. Here is the final list. I will post the grade as soon as I know it. That may be this week, or sometime next week. For the record, because I am not allowed to have any nice things, my guess is it will come back as Unc Det. metal movement, which one of the entries also guessed. Hopefully we are both wrong.
