yah, I already posted all of my sweet "Dominion of Canada" coins on the Canada thread (it would be glutinous of me to double-post ... right?) Cheers, fellas (awesome coins!!)
gluttonous (comparative more gluttonous, superlative most gluttonous) Given to excessive eating; prone to overeating. Greedy. Probably you meant this, Steve. [h=4][/h]
Yup ... sorry wlw, my spell-check (logic-check) must be off!!? I hope everything is okay in your West Coast world? Cheers brother
mark the shield of hannover was on british coinage as a mark of respect to the king, but the state of hannover was never part of the british empire just the same as normandy was never part of the empire but was also ruled by william I. if you know your british and empire history then it is quite plai that hannover was never a british possession but a separate entity ruled by the same extended family just as the tsar and kaiser were victorias grandchildren....
I know it was a separate kingdom but the king of Britain was also the king of Hannover so really it does fall into the series otherwise it wouldn't be in that book, even some of the later stuff from George IV and William IV have the British royal coat of arms on. I take it as part of my collection because its like Scottish coins before the act of union if that's the case are they not technically part of this collection either ? (That isn't sarcastic by the way)
