How would this happen? My bank assures me that this box came directly from the Brinks coin delivery truck. ???

I vote for looks like D. The center is too open to be an S, there appears to be a solid left side where the S would have been open, and the mint mark would not extend up that far above the base line of the letters, which it would have to do to be an S. Hard to tell with that amount of wear, but I think D. Ether way, nice find!

Box of Halves: Skunk...and it was another box that was sealed yet had most rolls opened on one end. I only ordered 2 boxes this week...if next week's boxes of halves are the same, I ask that the Credit Union manager call to the distribution center to complain. Not sure if it would do anything.

    Box of Nickels: 31 pre1960, 2x1964D Proofs, 1961BU and a first for me: a 1982 British 20 Pence coin.

Uh, I don't think my wife would approve of me seeking sister wives for her.

$500 Box of brinks halves - box was sealed and the rolls were opened on one end and obviously had been searched. Waste of time.

How's it possible to seal a box of coins without you noticing it has been resealed. Maybe my boxes are different here but I'd most certainly be able to tell.

Hot glue? I say it because I have sealed cent boxes with it.

I'm just talking about brinks boxes. Here they have a paper seal.

I got my weekly box of halves today (Brinks) and the tape was loose... Haven't looked at them yet to see if they're any good.

Had a chance to look at the box - everything looks normal. Now the sorting begins...

    Boxes #37-#39 of Halves: Skunkaroo
Oh, and the bank that I dump at informed me that they're holding my searched coins in their vaults! So nobody blame me for getting re-taped searched boxes.

Do you return them in the original box? How many dollars must that total up to? Sounds like they have close to $20k in searched halves... I'm sure they're not happy to hold those... WOW!
