Hello WingedLiberty; I also greatly admire and appreciate the matte proof Lincoln Cents. Among the coins I collect are the Lincoln Cents and I just recently discovered these little gems about a year ago in this forum I believe! Although I don't own any as of now, I do plan to acquire some in the future. I feel that they are extremely beautiful when they posses toning & my goal is to pursue matte proof Lincolns such as what you collect. Your collection of these rare & unappreciated proofs is spectacular and I want to commend you on a great eye and discriminating taste.

I posted it in the What's It Worth thread, maybe you guys can help me out. http://www.cointalk.com/t229311/ The closest thing I could find to it was this http://www.ebay.com/itm/1860-Seated...55?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item43bab497d3 I'll let you guys know what I paid after any estimates on value.
My local shop bought about 50 draped large cents, draped half cents, and classic head half cents. I picked up one of the worse coins in the lot, 1832 half cent.
my wife was talking to her cousin about my collecting coins, so for a Father's Day dinner he came with gift for me -- from his father's silver dollar collection he inherited. An 1880 CC GSA Dollar, in the box!
Thanks. Am I correct about the VAM? I've never dealt with VAMs so I am sort of reaching there, I kind of figured you'd be the one to know
I just got this 1805 $5 Early Gold. its in a NGC XF DETAILS holder (MOUNT REMOVED). I guess some one was wearing this thing as a necklace a long time ago. my first coin in a details holder but i'm happy with it.
A few affordable raw Washingtons from gbroke. Silver Washington Quarters are the only thing I collect raw, and these are going right into my album. 1964 25c. Obverse is quite dark, but the center of the reverse is radiant 1953-S 25c 1946 25c :thumb:
