I bought this group as I some high grade views on the 1900 20c which would make it very valuable but see what you think.
Great coins!! => the Newfie coins are "definitely" the best value on the market (very, very low mintages and super classy lookin') => it is merely a matter of time before your investment goes through the roof (well, that's stevex6's slant on things ... please takes that with a grain of salt, a shot of tequila and a squeeze o' lime!!) Cheers (great new coins => congrats!!)
1900 Newf 20 cent => 125,000 minted (ummm, what do you think you've got there? VF 30?) => $75 - $100 - ish?
I don't see it as an AU-50... I do see an EF-40 to EF-45... Also, ICCS is your best bet if you want to have it graded.
Had some interest shown in buy the NB one penny currency.....I understand it's the incomplete flag variety and a far better grade than anything on e-bay or previously sold on there. NGC say $75 for EX40 and $300 for MS60....whether incomplete flag makes much difference I need to find out ......marbury
marbury518 => I am definitely agreeing with your AU50 (or "at least" Windchild's EF-45) ... Sadly, all I have this is humble example of that wonderful ol' Newf => oh, and embarrassingly poor photo-skilz!! .... but she's all mine and I love 'er!! :yes:
Steve, I would say VF-30 to VF-35 on yours. My grades are based on ICCS graded coins, which is a harder grading system then the US.
Thanks dawg => yup, you'll probably call me crazy, but I busted this quarter free from it's ICCS plastic-wrapper (and yes, VF-30 was their grading) ... ... arrrggghhhh, it must be the ancient in me that "hates" coins trapped in cases!!?? (oh, but I realize that I'm gonna be a huge minority with this opinion, in this modern-coin thread => hey, but don't judge me => I like collecting "coins" not wrappers!!) :hail:
