Cool pickup. Scorpion isn't the easiest to find. My main ones I have are Hepthalite countermarks.

Since I doubt many others have one, I'll share a scorpion from my collection:

    Cool Kingdom Steve!

    Not much known about it...

His Kingdom was given back to him, taken away, given back to him again, THEN destroyed...

(much of it was destroyed by the Romans in 72 and erosion claimed much of the rest [also probably due to the Romans])

Sweeeeet coin Jerry. Great portrait and an even better scorpion.

You are correct Ardatirion, I have no coins featuring a scorpion, but I do have a Hadrian with Africa reverse holding a scorpion. Hmmm, I just may have to look for something to add to my collection.

Cool scorpion-coin, Ardatirion => thanks for postin' your schtuff!!

Oh, and thanks for your coin-compliments, bros & sis (I/we always appreciate feedback, right?)

=> yah, this was actually the first of the three coins that I bid on => I think everything about this coin is very cool (the wear, the colour, the scorpion!!)

.... oh, and plus, this baby is pretty hefty => 28 mm and 15.57 grams is a nice sized coin (I'm hoping this one "pops" in-hand!!)

anyway => thanks again, gang (I love hearing from you guys!!)

    Cheers!!

Ooops ... I posted to the wrong thread (again!!) ... my bad!!

Huh? => once again, I have zero-idea how to get rid of "ghost-photos"? ... for example, I accidentally posted photos to this thread and then wanted to delete them, but it is impossible to delete these old photos (so they are still hanging around => they're kinda ghost photos)

I really like the scorpion coin. Have you considered trying to assemble a "zodiac"?
