Do any of you fellow collectors shop and buy thing from the coin vault? I want to get a certified 2013 w burnished silver eagle. Coin Vault has MS69's for 79.99 and MS70's for 99.99. These prices seem kind of high. can I get them little cheaper elsewhere? Thoughts
I would check eBay, Provident Metals, Moderncoinmart, Silvertowne, Goldmart, Paradisemint, Apmex, etc before buying from them. TC
do not send them any or your hard earned money. I watch from time to time for amusement or to see how much BS 'ol Robert spews out.
I would like to sell them stuff for about $10 less than what they sell it for. I heard somewhere I thought one time tht they were owned or ran by Chattanooga coin. Dusty
I GUARAN-DARN-TEE you that you will lose money on every coin that is purchased from any of the tv shows. Chris
Actually that's not entirely true. Even though I overpaid at the time (and was sorely agitated and upset when I found out) the set of ASE's that I bought from them has appreciated quite nicely but that's just an instance of dumb luck.
I saw 2 MS 69 2013 eagles they had go for $89. Same day i won 2 ebay auctions for the same thing and got them both for less than $75 shipped.
I watch for amusement and entertainment and to find out info. I can find items they sell elsewhere cheaper. Did anyone purchase the 2013 Canada bald eagle silver dollar first in series of 4? I was tempted it is pretty coin only 7500 minted. Coin Vault debuted it and has exclusive rights to sell. It was little pricey.
Is this the one that looks like its being filmed in someone's basement? Whatever that one was, I saw the funniest dang thing in the history of television on one night. The guy drinks mountain dew, and had put a bottle in the freezer before the show to get cold. While he was going over his coins, he asked his buddy for the bottle. On camera, he cracked it open and tried to drink. Nothing came out. So he held it up right in front of his eye sideways....... Mountain Dew came spewing out all over him, the coins, everywhere. He got hit in the eye with Mountain Dew, so couldn't see while he was cursing and trying to cover his coins all at the same time. Man, I was on the floor holding my stomach I was laughing so danged hard.
l that's a different show. I've seen that one yea it's funny and worse they aren't professional at all and wouldn't buy from them at all. Atleast on the Coin Vault they are professional and I would consider buying from them.
Ok, thanks. Btw, just one word of advice. Be careful making assumptions in this hobby based upon "professionalism". One of the biggest crooks I ever met always in a suit and tie, while some of the biggest dealers in the hobby are down to earth guys in polo shirts and jeans. Not saying you do, but way too many people define professionalism with dress code, and too few define it on knowledge and character.
If you see something on Coin Vault that looks interesting you should find it listed by Silvertowne and usually if not always cheaper. The reason you will find it there is because Silvertowne IS Coin Vault. (I've been to the Coin Vault shipping center in Silvertowne's basement.)
Ive ordered couple items from Silvertowne and they are cheaper. so your saying they are the same company?
Wasn't TheCoinVault, when they were on the now defunct ShopatHome, owned by Chattanooga Coins? Lewis Revels was on with that Robert Chambers chap for awile. When I first got interested in coins...and they sold mostly raw, or 'collector' coins (not just uber-grade modern stuff, with some graded Morgans/Peace deals sprinkled in). Conder, please correct me if I'm wrong??? I'm talking like early-mid 90's. I was very young (dad taped them for me on the VCR so I could watch them after school....those days you could actually learn one or two things on the show...lol), but I clearly remember that 'little guy' Lewis Revels...with fingernails much like some ebay sellers (not being complimentary).
