Well, I sure think they do. This Italy 1862 20 Lire was passed down to me from my mom through her great uncle. It has been sitting in a box with other U.S. Gold coins. I felt it was not fair to just throw a foreign gold coin in with other U.S. coins, so the only humane thing to do, would be get some friends for it. So I went and added these. France 1886 20 Franc Great Britain 1914 1/2 Sovereign Swiss 1915 10 Franc
Coins definitely get lonely bk. I left a new counterstamp pickup on my desk overnight...ALL BY ITSELF! The next morning the 2x2 was soaked in tears...well, maybe I spilled my drink on it before I went to bed. Bruce
I guess if you were beat with a steel punch like my coin was you'd turn to drinking Bing. Bruce
Of course all coins need friends. The more the merrier. I just arranged for the little fellow in my avatar to get a few buddies.
Oh, a play-date (coins love play-dates!!) ... what an excellent parent (hats-off to you, medoraman!!)
There is something terribly wrong with that group of gold coins – it is missing a Netherlands 10 gulden coin. Queen Wilhelmina has a lot to offer and she plays well with others. There is also a Russian 5 roubles that might fit in….
