Stole, stole, or bought and you regret selling?

All those coins show together like that is truly impressive.

Not much of a nickel guy by any means, but my friend gave me this one and I just had to photograph it. :thumb:

    Here's a 1964 proof. A pain to photograph...maybe I'll just stick to cents.

At one time, Wal-Mart tried to dabble in coins. This coin, which was bought in the late '70s or early '80s, might explain why they didn't get very far in the coin business.

(Note that the holder says "1946-S" but the coin is actually a "1947-S" )

This 1964 proof was photographed with a cheap Sony digital camera under fluorescent light and "near" setting.

Okay, maybe I should've been looking for THIS thread. :)

    (hover/click to expand, as usual...)

I started another thread this afternoon asking for opinions on the coin; it's got some wear and some hits, but it's also still got some luster and some nice color (if a bit dark and muted in-hand). And, hey, it came out of a cull lot -- guess someone sorted through these in a dimly-lit room. :)

I'm newer to this forum, i mainly hang out at the Ancient part. I have been a modern collector most of my life and put together some nice sets and sub sets of coin's..

The coins that i'm posting will be all from the Omaha Bank Hoard, they will all be PCGS MS66..some are toned and some are brite white..

Hertage Galleries purchased this hoard in 2004, the hoard had over 320,000 coin's in it. One man save the coin's from the 30's till 1964. The hoard consisted of cent through half dollar and were in mint state condition..

Here are my Jefferson's..:smile with more to come..

    Great Jeffs Eng!

One of my favorite nickels in my collection is an Omaha Hoard nickel.

Actually, in my entire nickel collection... I only have 4 graded nickels left. :)
I don't generally collect slabbed nickels, but when I saw that one go up for auction, I had to have it. I know two of it's previous owners were CT members.
    Those being: ikandiggit and Lehigh.
