Yes to torched. Extreme heat affected the clad layer with blisters

ahhh thank you.i get it now.im sendin george to rehab.wouldnt torching discolor the outer layer of the coin or create cracks wherever the clad has lifted?

 

True but not necessarily. Sometimes.

 

They are inexpensive (face) to obtain and interesting to apply a torch just to see what happens. Be careful and use protection when doing it. Jim
