    a cent of note

Got this one this week. KM 115 Chile 1835 centavo single year issue. The first centavo minted in Chile. It is copper 30 mm and 18 grams with thick flan. Minted in England. It is less common than the 1853 and scarce in this condition. I can imagine it was something you wanted in your pocket at that time. A 100 of these was 1 peso or 8 reales. Today the smallest denomination in Chile is 10 pesos!

A nice strong strike for this type. The crown has little wear also.

From my old camera. It is not the best you can find, but cool. I am going on a coin hunt in a week over Chile with my father. I can look for one also. No prop.
