1898, 1899, & 1907 Barber Quarter

    Looking at buying these date Barber quarters but concerned with fakes and if real what is a fair price. Hopefully pics of the coins will post my first try and be good enough to judge. I welcome everyone's opinion on buy or pass. I'm new to coin collecting and looking at these for bullion value vs numismatic value.

    They are real. If you can get them close to melt go for it. if not pass
     
  4. The most common dates in the series. With the way those look, I wouldn't pay more than melt.

    Thanks guys! Seems they are going for more then melt, roughly $8 each. I don't collect Barber's so I'm not sure it's worth paying the extra. Guess I'll have to keep watching.

    Be patient. You can find them for melt. I find barber coinage in dealers junk piles all the time.

    I need to find more shops to stop at. The closest place I have is a Pawn shop and they're asking $11 for a junk '64 Kennedy.
