1968 (Ottawa) 10 Cents The Queen has some Errors on her, and they list as follows: Double queen's back, Double forehead, and new Errors are as follows: Double back of queen's head, Double lips and chin, that runs from the top of her neck, right down to the front of her bust, straight under the bottom, to the end of her bust 1 of 2
=> omg (ummm, I absolutely "love" this coin ... but, that dang fingerprint is a bit of a poopy-pants, eh?)
Ummmmm ... is anybody listening? ... ummm, do I try to delicately "clean" that fingerprint, or is it merely part of the ol' game? => I have "never" cleaned a coin ("yet")
Don't clean, most grading company will not grade a clean coin, they'll just slab it as cleaned, with no grade
Yah, I agree .. and I have always been a very good coin-comrade ... ummm, but in this one case, I can see me merely dipping a q-tip into a wee bit o' solvent and then carefully "tweaking" this coin until it no longer has a blemish ... => OMG, I am soooooo sorry that I typed that!!! .... in all honesty, I'm never gonna sell any of my coins, so it's "the next guy" who is gonna have to worry about poop like that!!! => rest at ease, soldiers ... there will be zero cleaning tonight!! cheers
Steve get some acetone from your hardware store, pure in a small cup drop in and take out, rinse with water, towel dry no rubbing, no print, no smoking boom..
Hey, here is another one of my amazing ol' coins ... it is a bit grizzly, ummmm but that makes it sooooo fricken cool, yes??? .... grrrrr, fricken cool!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....
\ Ummm OMG, man I love ya so much Eng => but for modern coin-dudes, I'm pretty sure that is the definition of "cleaning" ... ummm, but maybe I am wrong? :high5: ... please give me some advice ... acing:

1943-C Newfoundland Silver Half Dime MS65 PCGS Vivid Color! Canada switched from silver half dimes to nickel five cents (famously) in 1922 (the 1921 silver is a stellar rarity), but Newfoundland continued making silver half dimes until 1947, after starting way back in 1865. These little "fish scales" have lots of low-mintage rarities. There are 10 issues from 1865 to 1888, each below (mostly way below) 100,000 pieces ... the 1885 saw 16,000 pieces coined. The last Victoria Newfoundland half dime was struck in 1896. There were three Edward VII issues and four George V, then the George VI saw nine issues from 1938 to 1947-C. The 1946-C had a stingy 2,041 pieces struck! These things are relatively speaking CHEAP for the quality of the coins you get. The series is also as dead as 4 o'clock, but I love them and expect them to wake up someday. Enjoy! Best Regards, :hail: George1943-C Newfoundland Silver Half Dime MS65 PCGS Vivid Color!
