I just bought this ten Schilling coin and it arrived a few days ago. Does anyone know if there's something significant to all these numbers or if it's just for the sellers inventory or something? and what does the "AB" mean? Is that some form of grading? And the "*"? And is this toning real?
The coin should be made of 640/1000 of silver . 2 of this coins are listed here : http://giladzuckerman.webs.com/mercuguinness.html#AUSTRIA , KM # 2882
Thank you! Yeah, i got it for a pretty fair price of $6.00. But i am still trying to find out if the toning is real and what the numbers are.
No idea about the toning, but those twelve digits are ... an eBay item number. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-Austria-Silver-10-Schilling-Nice-Foreign-Coin-Free-S-H-/350792876593 Christian
your from rochester new york ? I used to live in Pittsford suburb. wow small world. my father used to work in downtown rochester at Kodak. he's been retired for awhile now.
Oh, thats what it is. Thank you! I was thinking it was something like how many were made but then i realized 350 billion made no sense.
Well, technically i live in Sodus Point (you probably know where that is, right?) but i spend more time in Rochester than i do at my house. Lol. And being an automotive photographer i definately know where Pittsford is (i love going there since there's so many people with exotic cars in the rich areas of the town). It's amazing how many people i meet online that have/do live in this area, it seems like such a small place in person but i always end up meeting people who live here when i'm on the internet.
