I'm guessing you were able to obtain all of that information from the 6th edition, 2012 Standard Catalog of World Coins, 2001-date. Time for me to upgrade, I only have the 2nd edition of 2001-date.:smile Plus 5 other assorted hard copies and 3 digital DVDs.
Since the coin is part of the Bermuda Shipwreck series (all triangular coins commemorating famous shipwrecks), I'm going with this explanation: Manillas were brass trade bracelets, a large quantity of which were recovered from the "Manilla wreck" in the Bermudas, named after the cargo, not the ship. The ship itself is unidentified.
