    1978 Canadian clipped panchet
An unconfirmed 1995 ddo and a 2007 Wyoming quarter with some kind of error.
Hopefully I'll be able to take these to a local shop and have them look at it.

    Box #41 of Halves: Skunk
    Box #42 of Halves: Skunk
    Box #43 of Halves: 2-40%
(MY 500TH SILVER COIN OF THE YEAR!!!!!!:hail::u*meY::hail: GOAL REACHED!!!)
New Short term goal is for 500 silver Halves.

    Box #44 of Halves: Skunk
    Box #45 of Halves: Skunk
    Box #46 of Halves: Skunk
    Box #47 of Halves: Skunk

As for persistency, here are some of my own stats. 283 boxes searched and 128 of them were skunks. OMG my hands have touched 283,000 coins this year!
Average about 1.60 coins per box (similar to TaborTot).
My longest Skunk streak was 8 boxes in a row.
All the while, I'm still trying to break $3K in silver but that darn silver price keeps dropping!
I do track a 20 box moving average and I'm currently near my low point with 11 silvers per 20 boxes.

    Good Luck To Everyone!

I called my bank today and ordered coins for the first time ever! I had them order me 10 boxes of pennies!

I get them next Friday and can't wait to start going through them. My plan is to keep a log of everything I find because I'm a statistics nerd. I'll be keeping copper to sell in bulk later, and I'm keeping wheats for my collection. Hopefully I find some nice dates!

edit: rather than make a new post, I'll just post my question here....how do you guys find so many tellers that hook you up with silver? Don't they realize their worth?

A lot of them don't realize what they have. Another reason is they don't care. Even if a teller knows that a silver quarter at today's value is about $4 or a 40% half is worth over $3 when it comes down to it that isn't gold mine. I am sure if they got a gold coin they would react differently than they do now. For someone that doesnt collect or stack bullion a silver dime worth $1.65 in melt is meaningless.

    Sat and Mon searches:

    $140 Loomis MWR halves: skunk
$400 Loomis MWR dimes: 2 Roosies

About $180 worth of dimes from one of the banks I stopped at were all shiny new 2013's. So disappointing to open dozens of rolls that you know have no silver in them.

Could anyone tell me if this is something that happened at the mint or is this the work of some outside force? Thanks.

Box of Nickels: 36 pre1960, 2x2009D, 1988 CND and this weird 1954S. I was checking for a possible S/D and saw all the junk around the rim of the reverse. I don't know much about errors or misstrikes...could someone enlighten me as to what this kind of feature is called? Thanks!

Also, on a side note, I have now passed 250,000 coins searched for 2013! Wow!

Man I wish I could buy boxes... the only box I could afford would be cents and I am really not looking to hoard copper :(

Oh well, maybe someday. Hopefully you guys save some for me :p

    Another Box of Nickels (a nice one, too!): 39 pre1960, 1934 Buff, 1936 Buff, 1940 AU, 1942D, 1943P War (ender), 1964 Proof, 1985 CND, 2009D. Here's some pics:

1964 Proof...even though this is nice, I still HATE 1964 coins.

When I heard that Billionaire bought $1,000,000 worth of nickels, I was hoping they were all 1964 so I wouldn't find as many.

First time CRH in over 2 months. Nice to be back!! Work has been killing me! Found 2 40% Kennedy's in $2.50 teller tray loose halves. Found a 1953-d Roosie out of $80 CWR dimes, and a 1943-p war nickel out of $80 CWR nickels. Also had 13 pre-60 nickels and 4 Canadian nickels. Out of the 4 Canadian nickels, there was a 1935 and a 1941. Two oldest Canadians I have found.

$370 in CWR halves and $11 loose teller halves. All skunks. With no luck at the banks, I decided to stop by some pawn shops. I've never been in a pawn shop before so today was a first. I've also never purchased any coins before. I've been looking to buy for some time now since the price of silver dropped but the premiums have been ridiculous on U.S. coins. Well I bought 5 quarters and 4 half dollars today. I paid spot for the (4) 40% half dollars, and I paid $4.17 each for two Washington quarters, and $4.40 each for (3) BU Washington quarters in cases (1947-d, 1951-s, and 1956.) No sales tax either!!! I think I did okay for the first time purchasing in todays market.

You paid a good price for the quarters :)D)

I'm not sure about the halves, I don't usually buy 40%ers....
