I got this in the mail the other day. The mint is missing but the style is consistent with Trier. The obv. has some nice sharp detail in hand and the style of the portrait is interesting. Trier is one of the harder FH mints to find as well. I happy to have gotten but still would like one with a readable mint. The only other mint I "need" is Nicomedia, which I have one I suspect is from that mint, but not certain so I still need one. I also would like one from Arles with CON (PCON or SCON) in the ex, but I have and earlier one (PARL). Then I can start to upgrade them all Constantius II AE3. DN CONSTANTIVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped, & cuirassed bust right / FEL TEMP REPARATIO, soldier spearing fallen horseman. TRP (crescent) in ex. RIC 359 var. 2.67g 17mm
It's a nice looking coin. There appears to be a spike coming out of the shield that the soldier is holding. Is that a variety, or an anomaly?
theres other places to ask this that arent other peoples topics. would have been better to pm the mod or start your own topic. I just made a thank you post about that one . thats a nice looking coin randy one day ill have a nice looking ancient
