First time checking a Coinstar at a local grocery store yielded 0.35 Canadian. My wife seemed embarrassed.

I remember as a very young boy in the late 80's/early 90's checking payphone return slots EVERYWHERE and scoring all kinds of change. Who knows what gems I may have found and spent on Bubble Tape or baseball cards...?

Found about 15 pennies and two dimes in a reject slot of my coin machine at my bank. Usually, there's nothing but a penny coated with paint got stuck and kept all of that from falling out. When my bag filled up, I saw all the change in the reject slide and I grabbed it up. Nothing special but hey...35 cents richer. That made up for all the dimes that were counted as pennies today. :(

Had to stop by Wal-Mart to get some last minute snack items for my daughter's preschool class. Checked the CoinStar reject slot...found two grungy pennies and a 1964 Dime. :)

I was turning my change into a coinstar machine for a gift card and it jammed. The monitor said to call for help and that my coins are safe. One of the store employees opened the machine and was about to throw out the inner reject bin (never knew there was such a thing) after fixing the cause of the jam. I asked him for the contents of the reject bin instead of throwing them out. There was an ike dollar, $.35 in lose change, and a boy scout token. The employee also added roughly $3 in coins that were on the ground inside the machine(not my change). I'm sure most of you would love to see what it looks like inside a coinstar machine. They are super cool and I'm glad I had the opportunity to see what it looks like.

Stopped by a coinstar, found at the top (not in the chute, but off to the side) a clad quarter and a 1984 penny.

    O,o
