I searched about a thousand Wheat Ear Cents and plugged a number of holes in two folders. I found 2 with die chips, a 1951-S and a 1953-S. Both chips are in the date, the 5 to be exact. A common place. The only thing that struck me odd was they are both S mints. At any rate, nothing special but here’s they are. The reverse is standard as compared to the obverse so I didn’t take photos of them.

When I was in my early 20's I was a few years into collecting mint errors and weird looking issues on coins. I have an old dateless cent album full of Wheat Cents labeled Blob on date and Blob on LIBERTY. At the time I still didn't know about the correct terminology of Die Break and Die Chip :hilarious:
And I thought it was extra/added metal :bucktooth:

I will turn 52 next month so I've learned a lot over the decades.
