Well went to turn in some boxes of halves on Saturday and pick up a dime and nickle box to search over the weekend. I drop at this bank quite often. Completed my transaction and asked if she had any halves. She had two rolls and I said ok, I'll take them. Got home and opened the first and saw the typical blah clad I see 95% of the time. Opened the second and saw what you see below. 11 - uncirculated 1964's and a well worn 52s Frankie. Haven't had a find like that in forever. They are still out there. This is what keeps me going.

Today was fantastic. I went through 11 penny rolls and this is what I got: 1944, 1949, 1956, 1959, a lot of uncirculated ones from 1960 onwards, 3 Canadian pennies, a really weird possible error coin which I will post later (it was so deformed I don't even know how it fit in the roll!) plus I found a 1957 quarter on the ground next to a CoinStar, and a random quarter on the ground I save up all the money I find on the ground, I started a few weeks ago and I am at 1.44

 

$310 in dimes - 4 roosies

 

I started saving money I found on the ground in October and so far I have found about $30. It helped that I found a $20 bill on the ground at a flea market last week.

 

$30 in nickels - 40 x 2 ,41 42, 46, 47, 49

Canadian - 75, 98

 

$8.50 in Halves from a teller's tray = 1 1964 Kennedy. I'll take it!

I tried hard today but found only 11 forty percenters. Not bad in some ways but nothing special. Might try a little tomorrow.

 

Box of nickels. Didn't inventory all of the coins..

Several 40's,
one 44 D War Nickel,
a 1999 S Matte Proof in really good shape,
and the one that really got me, when I checked my Red Book, a 1939 D, I think between VF-20 and EF-40. A possible $10 to $12 Nickel. Only 3.5 million of them minted..

Can't wait to take this box back and get another one.

CTRollHunter...when you seem disappointed over your "bad days", I would be rejoicing because it would be an amazing day for me.

Thanks! I am not complaining but I spent a lot of time to find 1.6 ounces of silver. I will take the 1.6 ounces but I really want to find old coins (Walkers and Bennies and Mercs, oh my!) more than hoard silver.

 

$200 got me wo silvers!

Over five and a half boxes worth of halves searched since I've found any silver. Getting frustrated with halves but its some of the epic finds I see on this forum that keeps me searching.
