I have been getting a few Mercury Dimes lately and my little set is growing - slowly... Here's a NEWP - 1926-P - PCGS 64 FB
Ok... just checked back to see what I have been posting lately... Where did you come up with that figure of $40.00 ? I never said I paid that !! LOL... I paid $519 for it - from a recent Heritage Auction.
I figured I'll bump this thread with a few newps. And got these for melt plus a buck, but liked them. I tried Axial lighting on these and am not particularly fond, but it'll do until I set up for the Nikon.
Was just reading the Guide Book to Merc Dimes I decided to take some quick (and as always sideways even if the original is sideways) pictures on the iPhone. I usually like them white but this was to good to pass up.
My purchases within the last month Proof which I paid handsomely for This one looked great at the shop, a dark silvery color. A nicely toned piece I picked up in Northgate, trying out a new shop while I was in Seattle. Something I picked up for the slab and the dime was just a bonus.
I still have my 1 st set I did 50years ago. I wonder. If here the place to post them as most of the Mercury Dimes are MS 64 66Fb
Pony Express one of favorite dealers and friends. Probably seen it in hand at one point. Great coins Caz. You are coming to summer seminar right?
I had the pleasure to buy the proof Mercury Dime from Glenn in person at the PNNA show. I ended up talking with him for an hour at the end of the show about the summer seminar and other numismatic events/connections. I am going to week one course 8 and attending the MPC mini-seminar. I am very excited!
Oh good. Glenn is great, he always has great Mercs even though he does mainly barbers. Bring some dimes and we can show each other.
