Approx. 145 wheat cents in a pound, so $1.45 cents worth for $39 and $6 for S+H. That's about $0.30 per wheat. I have also had an issue with them in the past where they were going to include a large cent with my purchase, but it never came. Some back and forth later and it finally arrived separately.
Bottom line: you can do better.

Edit: missed the silver. Still, I think that even with the amount of silver they include (which would be junk silver...nothing in great condition) that you could still get a better deal elsewhere.

 

but they are selling silver in the lot too!

$45 for this? You can't be serious.

 

There are approximately 147 copper cents in a pound, this means that you will be spending an average of more than 26 cents each, if the coins were truly unsearched by anyone, about 95% of them will be from 1940-1958, of the twenty or so cents that do not fall in the high mintage wheaties, chances of finding a coin that would even be worth 26 cents is pretty poor.

You can find ads in most publications for 5000 piece bags for under 250.

 

Like I've said before and this is proof, 12 year olds should be outside, not surfing ebay.

 

my lcs sales wheats 100 for $5 he just dumps them in a coin counter people have gotten 1909 from him and sold them back to him.

i think he sales bags for $100 or $200

 

I think our friend coingeek should pay a visit to your local shop, or at least a one in his town, before trying to find "good buys" on ebay. Hint: I tend to not buy silver/wheats together. The times that I have, I have been overcharged. The sellers probably sell the "bundle deal" assuming that buyers think that the included silver makes them break even. This is far from the truth. If you want wheats, buy wheats. If you want silver, buy silver. There are times when you can get 2 birds with one stone. This "deal" is not one of those times.

The boys knees on the coins will not damage the cent anymore than the last ones in a full bag of the coins.
Why do people think the same coins they hold today havent been through the same treatment these coins have seen.
All coins made at the mint for public use as money are not given the cotton glove treatment.
On one tread i read where they shoveled morgan dollars into bags at the mint.
They were made to be used and thats how i treat mine iv never handled a coin with gloves and i do use my fingers as they were intended to be used.TO EACH HIS OWN BUT SOME ARE OVERKILLED.
