Old holders, slabs. Care to share?

I figured that either you or Conder were part of the research.
What Am I missing here?
Can you share the new slab, or addition?

I went back and reread your first post. I wasn't trying to say that that was the order, just that i had a different prefixed slab number.

"Produced in 2007? This holder is a mystery, It is a problem free coin in an old small white holder with the gen P6.6 problem slab front & rear label that was used from Dec 2006- Sept 2007. I’ve never seen a problem free coin slabbed in this holder so I don’t know if there was some limited run done on request or it was a mistake. In any case I would say it’s quite rare."

Turns out one of the End of an Era/Start of a New Era samples from their move to Austin is this slab and has a date!



Even better, it's one of those I've processed in my data scrape, so I know how rare it is

92009006->92009065, JEFFERSON 2007 D 5C, END OF AN ERA, 60 pieces

And I know what was made before and afterwards.

In fact that entire area of the database is proving to be a rich source of 2007 era samples, many in tiny editions and not previously recognized.

 

This one did not turn out well. PCGS gave it a 60.

 

I do not specialize in Morgans at all…. But isn’t a 60 a bit low for that one?

 

I thought it would come back as a 63. The dark area on her face may have something to do with it. Maybe the lack of luster, I don't know.

Why different Presidents

Here are two I have from NCI, both 81-S Morgans.

The one on the right is the traditional photo certificate version they used prior to the slab, grade at the time as 65/65. There is too much chatter for it to be a 65 today.

The one on the left - ? not sure what to make of that one. I can't find any reference to anything from NCI being in a typed flip with a number on it. I suspect someone separated it from the photo certificate at some point. I picked it up for about $50 like this. It is pretty clean and has nice luster. I think it would be a 64 if graded today.

The one on the left resembles an ICCS holder (Canadian TPG).

 

I hope I don’t jinx myself but this should arrive tomorrow. I also hope it’s more gold toned in hand.

 

My daughter’s boyfriend is a baseball pitcher so I picked this up with him in mind. If he’s still around, he might get this for his birthday
