It's not an RPM; it's MD. MD was very common on 69S Lincolns.

Yes, that is mechanical doubling. The title of "S/S" in the auction is misleading, as it is not a repunched mintmark.

The amount of grammatical and punctuational errors in the eBay listing is astonishing.

He is 12, I wouldn't expect impeccable spelling. But if he wants his auctions to be taken seriously, it doesn't hurt to run a spell check. Still, I would like to see the title of the auction changed.

"this coin is not slabbed, or even in a cardboard holder, and will be shipped to you in a plactic sandwich bag in a standered envolope."

    Spectacular.

I know he is 12. I sold things on eBay when I was 12 too. I tried making them as professional as possible and didn't act on impulse. He should have consulted you and others before posting on eBay. Imagine what eBay would look like if all the ads looked like this one. It is bad enough as it is.

Edit: I was 12 only SIX years ago. That was 7th grade for me. I knew how to write and spell correctly. There is no excuse to misspell words with the technology of spell check. It literally looks like a 5 year old wrote that listing.

I have college students who turn papers in that look like this. Be afraid...be very afraid.
