I'm not experienced enough to tell if they should be graded... I'd recommend ICCS if you do end up getting them graded... Much more marketable to Canadians if you end up selling or trading...
The 35 looks like a great candidate for a 65. The 36 has a few marks, on the reverse fields especially, that might block it from anything higher than a 64. Otherwise, you have a couple home runs on your hands.
Nice coins petro89 I think the two coins are great & they would probably slab great. If you are going to keep them in your collection just decide if you want them slabbed or raw. If you aren't going to sell them right now, then just store & display them safely however you want. However, if you are going to sell them right now, then they could bring you more money if they were in slabs.
Hmmmm? => it is only worth grading a coin if you're planning on selling it ... I am not planning on selling any of my coins, so that would merely be a waste of coin-ca$h!! ... but that's just me ...
Thanks for your opinions on grade! I love Canadian coins, especially toners, but I am much more familiar with large and small cents as far as grading goes. I was thinking 65 for the 1935 and 63 for the 1936, so we're probably in the ballpark. My thoughts when I bought them was to get them slabbed and flip one of them (probably the 1936), maybe for enough to pay for the other as well. I got them for what I thought was a solid deal at $190 together - from a dealer I have dealt with for a long time. Managed to talk him down from much higher too. If I had only got one or the other it wouldn't have been so low a price, so that was why I was thinking of sending them in and selling one...to use the money to buy some other coin. Or...maybe I should just keep both and start an MS set of Canadian dollars  I better start saving for that '48!
Hmmm...that first eight is pretty obvious Angelo. But I don't see any re-punch on the other two eights. I have one similar to this, only the second eight is re-punched.
I guess my old camera is to dark to see 8 by the 1st + 3rd looks more like classic MD to me but worn!!!!
