Newest additions to my United States of Mexico Type set. 61 down, 39 to go. 1978 100 Pesos 1953 5 Pesos
The Diez Centesimos has a beautiful patina (depending on angle orange/red hue) which isn't captured by the pictures. The four coins together, and sorry for the bad image quality.
1st Thank you Derick!:thumb: If you look back thru 5k of post I have been Posting a lot of 1838-1901 Great Briton Queen Victoria coinage as I am doing 1p 1-6p Shillings to Crown for a 1 holder Ngc set. King of Thrones will be its Name. I looked @ the Ngc graded before I started hunting 1 More per 1900 coin to add to my World Silver. sometime soon or latter Ngc will get this 1 to graded.I may need it to make a Ngc 10 for offer will post grade when done
Derick might like this month's CONECA magazine Yes, we have some cool members at CT. I wonder if Derick is familiar with the CONECA coin club in the States. (Not sure if Derick is in Chile or Canada currently & noticed your package was from Chile). CONECA is an error coin organization of which I belong. This month's CONECA magazine includes a great article describing several error coins from Chile & surounding countries. One of the coins is a Chile 10 Peso that has been struck at least 6 times & included some characteristics of a feeder finger. Perhaps Derick will see this post or I could PM him. I'd be glad to send Derick the magazine (& maybe get another member for CONECA in the process). BTW, the front cover of this month's magazine depicts a US nickel that has a coil spring struck into it. It is a nickel on the end of a coil spring. It is a wild error from Fred Weinberg's inventory. Wild stuff.
This by far is one of my favorite foreign coins in my collection. It's from Malta 1972 I love the shield design and the fort on the rev. both simple with nice clear fields. The tone on this coin is unreal in hand a lite rosy tint.
I am also very fond of these two as I have been to Mexico several times and love their bi medal coins.
Collect89 I consider you a trustworthy and positively contributing member of this forum, but I will never disclose the address of a trading partner. As you've already stated the correct way is to ask Derick himself (email might be best me thinks). Some coin errors are that extreme that I doubt they came to be without direct intent, and as such these extreme errors are as questionable in authenticity as any fake can only be. Subsequently no longer being something collectible. The coin depicted on the front cover of this month's CONECA magazine is such an extreme occurrence.
