So. I did some coin roll hunting and am pleased with the results.

    15 40's and 50's non 1959 and later

    and for the special:

a 1946-S nickel! Its probably not going to be worth that much but It has a low mintage and I would like a grade and value for this lovely coin, surprisingly I find it in better condition then all the other 15 40's and 50's I found before.

Great thing to find in a roll!
Unfortunately, in that condition it isn't worth much. Maybe a quarter.

Well what is its current condition, and does it stand out of regular 1950's nickels with its low mintage?
Should i keep it in the tube for 1950 and 1940 nickels or is it worth a premium over those regular non-modern nickels?

And yeah I think its quite rare to find this date and mintmark in a roll.

Jefferson Nickels really have no value in the circulated grades unless they are one of the rare varieties. Some exceptions like the 1939-D and war nickels exist but the 1946-S has no significant value in XF. Even in gem condition, the 1946-S is worth less than $20. I bought this MS66 for $40 a few years ago and cracked it out an put it in my Intercept Shield Album.

Agree with Greg nice find but not worth much as condition is everything with Jefferson nickels. But its a hole filler and a cool find for a coin that's 67 years old. :)

Okay then, ill keep it in the tube where all the 40's and 50's go.
