I was looking at that lot myself, and that's exactly the problem with TT images - they're awful. And for a major auction house, that's just inexcusable. I've had to return a few coins on account of spotty, unattractive toning. It's not really a big deal, but it's a pain in the butt, and I avoid them now.

Yeah, I have picked up on that. Like I said, the silver Proof wasn't even the coin I was after, it was the OG Limey Slab, so we'll see what I get when the coins come in.
Even if it isn't toned, I'll be happy.

If you're not interested in the proof when it arrives, send me a PM and I'll buy it off you. I've been looking to collect a slabbed brown box Ike, which is what that coin looks like. I just can't tell if the toning is desirable from that pic.

I've been watching that one for a while... he started up around $85 I think, and every time the auction ends with no buyers he reduces the price a little. Now he's down to $62-something with the "10% off". I was waiting until it hit below $50 to possibly bid on it... not that I need yet another one, but still... :)

Oh, and John, if the coin bhaugh mentions above is the one I'm thinking it is, let me know and I'll send you pics and maybe even sell it to you... :D

Yeah, that one is a clad though, so not the brown boxer he's looking for.
Now here is what I think you're really looking for John:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-S-Silver-Eisenhower-Dollar-Proof-PCGS-PR-68-CAM-Double-Die-Reverse-DDR-/170874769297?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27c8ee0f91#ht_402wt_679
    And it's supposedly a DDR...

Prime, I was talking about the one I sold you, nice coin, just didn't fit my collection and I'm after something bigger... ;) You get my PM about our other deal? Let me know when you get a chance to look at your SDB.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that one was clad especially for the price. If that were a silver proof it would be much more desirable.

Went to the SDB earlier, will get back to you in a short while.

Oh, and I like the one you just posted, I can see where it could possibly be a DDR. I grabbed this one last night, supposedly a DDO, will see when it arrives. Looks like it's got some evidence of a little doubling, just can't tell with the pics.

I was looking at that one, and missed the end time. For the price I think it was a good deal. Worth a closer look.

I was looking at my NGC MS66 FEV for Doubling, and came across this:
    FEV Die Crack j.JPG

Die Crack running the entire length of STATES on the Reverse. I'll shoot better pics when I crack it out before sending to PCGS.

Also picking up a lot of MDD... wish it had been a DDR
