It is great to see the little ones enjoying the hobby, they are adorable I am sure dad is very proud. Alan
I have both of these two specimens Proof & Matte finishes struck in .999 silver ...one must ask them selves why they did not run with Schlags original art deco look. A great addition to a Jefferson collection as there were only 1938 minted of both examples.
Picked up this variety 3 1853 seated liberty dime at a local antique place. Not in the greatest shape but I liked it enough to pay the $5. Also got the 1890 O Morgan and the 1945 D Walker at a LCS.
Here is a picture of one of the 150 Proof nickels that Schlag designer of the New Jefferson nickel had framed and given to close family and friends. They are call souvenir display frames all signed by Schlag and notarized , Inserted an 1938 Proof Nickel and a picture of the original designto its right.
I picked this up today from Charmy Harker (aka The Penny Lady) at the Santa Clara Coin Show. Not my particular series but hey, everybody should own one of these at some point in time if they are a variety coin collector! Besides, it'll go well with the 71-S DDO, 72/72, the 83 DDR, 84 DDO, and 95/95.
Thanks I thought that might be it. It makes since because color shouldn't be an issue when the coin isn't in it's original state. Thanks Again. Need to sleep now. LOL
I really enjoy the stone mountain. Being part of an Order who's spiritual founder is Robert Lee, I've always wanted one. Maybe at the upcoming show I'll see if I can grab one.
And by "they" Caz means PCGS. NGC clearly designates the color of copper coins (BN, RB, RD) for all grades.
