https://www.silverdollarcollection.com/ 25 for a morgan isent bad but it dosent say what the first coin will be and how much every thing costs in the end
I assume they would start with a 1900 Morgan, but who knows? Anyway, from what I can tell, it would be one coin from every year a silver (or clad) dollar was made, given the size of the storage box (looks like it can hold around 25 holders)-- That would be 6 Morgans, 10 Peace dollars, 7 Eisenhowers, and 4 Suzies (that works out to 27 coins). I really doubt they would have a complete date-and-mint set since that would have to include the '21 and '28 Peace dollars, and the '02-S, '03-S and '03-O Morgans, which can be quite expensive. I get the impression that you would get the most common coin for each date. Also, an enlargement of the photos shows generic holders with grades of "Very Good" assigned to all the dollars, and the two dollars in the picture with the storage box are reverse images
If $24.95 is half off the regular price, I would not be happy paying close to $50 each for Ike dollars or SBAs. TC
Yes. From reading the ad I could bet (just not on CT) that each coin after the first is fifty bucks. Even the Ikes and Susies. The condition for coins thru 1935 are VG. They give BU coins for later coins. Not all coins are silver. They will make money.
I only counted 26. $25 x 1 + $50 x 25 = $1,275. If I had to GUESS: MORGANS - 6 1900 or 1900-O 1901-O 1902-O 1903 1904-O 1921 PEACE - 9 1922 1923 1924 1925 1926-S 1927-D 1928-S 1934-D 1935-S IKE - 7 1971 1972 1973 1974 Bicentennial 1977 1978 SBA - 4 1979 1980 1981 1999
also i forgot that morgans were not made every year from 1900 till 1921 and uneducated people would here a morgan from every year ect and think thats a lot of morgans
what the crap is a "optical-quality" magnifying glass only time i seen this on tv was last night around 4am also found in small print "Coins minted after 1935 will be offered in Brilliant Uncirculated Condition. Coins minted up to and including 1935 will be offered in Very Good (VG) Collector's Condition due to scarcity. Morgan and Peace dollars were minted in 90% silver; Eisenhower and Susan B. Anthony dollars were minted in silver-clad or copper-nickel compositions. The Bradford Exchange is not associated with the United States government or U.S. Mint. Please note: An additional $10 shipping surcharge is added for items sent outside of the Continental United States. IL residents sales tax applies." also seems they have a old copyright © 2012 The Bradford Exchange Mint
If you have a magnifying glass you want to have one that is of optical quality, meaning that it provides distortion free viewing and has good light gathering qualities. That is what is being implied with their phrase "optical quality". That being said, some are better than others, and a magnifying glass can be made to be of "optical quality" quite cheaply. It does not mean it's the best you can get. There seem to be no set standards that apply to it. But you should expect a magnifying glass that can be useful to magnify (probably 2-4 X, they don't state) an image, and is better than the cheap stuff that isn't even worth looking through. They say that their case and the magnifying glass is a 90 dollar value. Well, they are the one's valuing it, so they can name any price they want. From what I see in the ad, it is probably a 15.00 magnifying glass and a 20.00 box, but I'm not even saying it's actually worth that. It really doesn't matter if they do pay 90.00 for both and give that free. The cost of the coins is what is making them money. They are trying to hook people on getting the old silver ones and then either wanting to finish the collection or being someone who just won't speak up and say stop sending this junk.
^^^^ some people do find it offensive, even if it is not so much a "bad" word. But this forum is supposed to be 50's tv acceptable, and that word would never have made it onto the small screen in the 1950's. It wasn't considered even moderately "acceptable" until the 1990s. However, I simply chose not to "repeat" it while quoting you. I feel other words could have sufficed (as in "what the heck") which convey more of a befuddlement than and expletive. Anyways, the rules of the forum include this: 1 - There will be absolutely no cursing or swearing allowed. Any words that wouldn't have been aired in a 1950s television show, are unwelcome here as well. Read more: http://www.cointalk.com/t34131/#ixzz2R8ikQ6JU
Here are some other words that were not allowed on 1950's tv that are common today. 1. Poop 2. Fart 3. Pregnant (look it up, it was a no-no). 4. Sucks (as in "that sucks"). 5. Pee You also could not be shown on TV in the same bed together, people of other races were not allowed to show affection for each other, you could also not show a belly button. TV was also very sexist and racist at that time.
Why even bother commenting? It has nothing to do with the thread and you've been on the site long enough to know this is how it is when it comes to certain words. That's how the site management wants it. So just deal with it. You'll live.
The ad says one dollar from each year "a silver dollar" was made. The 1921 Morgan fulfills that requirement, and the 1921 Peace is quite valuable whereas the Morgan is common.
