A couple of days ago, I had the 'opportunity' to have a chat with some guy from Spain, offering me 'good quality fakes'. Like I would like to get involved in those matters... Nevertheless, he also sent me some pics.

Please be careful people, some of them are darn good ones ! He also sells the dies (he offered me the J. Caesar dies -the pair- for $200)

It could be a great educational opportunity. How many people get the opportunity to own both a counterfeit coin and the dies that were used to strike it?

I agree, but how many of these will end up at auction on eBay ?

  11. That is just scary, cool in a "wow there is some serious work" kind of cool. Scary as **** for those who collect those coins! I would really like to see how the dies are made, strictly from an artistic stand point.

rzage What Goes Around Comes Around .

Sad , If I were rich I'd buy all of them donate some to the ANA and destroy the rest , or at least put copy stamped in the dies and coins .

redwin117 : the roman empire was the biggest part of Europe, the mediterranean, northern Africa, the middle-east. I am aware of roman imitative coins, struck in Sri Lanka and India...

Purchase them just to get them off of the market as well. Assuming that you have that kind of money. I know I don't.
