Bad pictures I know but notice anything different or special about these coins?

Won a coin lot and these were the sellers pictures. Set in the blue holder is 1951.

I think you'll find some attractively toned pieces in there. I would have gambled on it too.

Thanks John. In hand the toning is amazing especially on the quarter. The half and dime ain't bad either. But still something different about the 1951 coin set.

It's on the 1951 set in the blue holder that things get better. That other coin set just a nice add on.

    1951 set a proof set?

Edit: If you paid less than $500-600 you probably did very well.

Edit2: Does the Washington have any cameo appearance, looks a bit like it, hard to tell.

Bingo! The nickel was nice full steps like a proof. The dime had nice full bands. On the quarter the leaf left the arrow shaft touches and just above the shaft unlike the the business strike. Also the quarter has some cameo to it. The half strong full bell lines and sharp. I had my 5 early bird submissions coupon from NGC since I renewed my membership so shipped it off yesterday. Should know how I did in a few weeks. Good bad or indifferent I will post the grades.

Congratulations on that find. I obviously love Franklins and am lacking the 50-54 run of proof sets. Those will have to wait for me for a bit, although the 54 is still priced pretty low methinks.

Basically with the other sets of coins in the lot I paid about 40 bucks for that set so did pretty well. Yes the quarter does have some cameo to it. Hope NGC sees it that way. When I get them back going to have Todd from Bluecc photos image them. The quarter looked so nice my wife even said "wow that is beautiful" and she doesn't like coins at all.

You would need Superman's eyes to detect all that from the pictures. You asked a question that was unanswerable.

I agree from those pictures. The quarter does look kinda cameo from the picture though. Also on the Ebay program with my cellphone I was able to pinch the picture to enlarge it. The picture gets little more distorted by looked like the reverse of a Washington proof quarter. I think I am correct that in the 1951 reverse of the proof and business where different like the Type B reverse? In any event we will see in a few weeks.

    Well got the grades back.
    001 1951 1C PF 66 RB
    002 1951 5C PF 64
    003 1951 10C PF 66
    004 1951 25C PF 67
    005 1951 50C PF 65

Was hoping for PF66 on the Franklin. Chance of Cameo on the quarter that didn't happen but was really hoping for the star designation. Looking forward to getting the coins in the mail to get some pictures.
