1987 penny why does IN GOD WE TRUST look like part of it has a line going through

    Hi everybody newbie Laurie my 2nd post. I want to thanks everyone for their responses to my question about the 2005 KS quarter. I want to learn all I can.

    This is 1987 penny and why does IN GOD WE TRUST look like part of it has a line going through. Not sure if that is how I should of said it lol. It just looks off. Any help would be great. 1987 penny back.jpg 1987 penny front.jpg
