I wonder why there would be such a huge disparity in demand for this set vs. the 2012 set, which took 3+ months to sell out. Has the BEP ever sold 5000 of anything in one day?
The BEP's sellouts, or lack thereof, have always seemed quite random. Look at the previous few years' $2 products, for example: 2008, 2011, and 2012 sold out fairly quickly, but 2009 and 2010 are still on sale. Off the top of my head, I don't remember exactly how long the sellouts took in previous years, but I'm pretty sure at least one of them was about as fast as this one....
I've read that some of the 12-note premium sets sold out in one day. Those were issued in much smaller numbers though. I was in on the 25th anniversary ASE set frenzy with the mint -another one-day sellout. It took me hours to get my order in. With the AFF set the other day, order went through right away, no problem. Who knew they'd go so fast? People must have liked the look of this one better than last year's I'm glad I didn't wait to buy one!
Did anyone get their order yet? With 5000 sold in 2 days, I'm thinking it might take a few weeks to ship them all.
I was thinking the same thing. I haven't yet, but the mailman hasn't shown up yet today. We shall see...
Same here. Must be pandemonium at the BEP from the quick sellout They've taken this long before with some of my orders though.
Got mine today......20132327, 28 and 29. It would be interesting to see what areas got what grouping of numbers to see if there is a pattern...and what time you placed your order. I did mine about 15 minutes after the started taking orders.
