I wonder if the Mint knows silver is $26 an ounce? Next week the 2013 Proof AGEs go on sale. With gold at $1500 I wonder what they will cost? Not going to buy any but it will give us an idea of what the 2013 Proof Buffalo will go for.
A stupid question from a foreign guy, is there something special about ASE minted at West point? I got a West point 2012 proof as gift. Just want to know.
Its not a traditional mint. Coins minted there are still somewhat unusual bearing a W mintmark. IOW, marketing hoopla.
Thanks a lot for the heads up, but at $75 an ounce not very tempting for me. I am still thinking I may get a set of hockey pucks for my 2013 dated coins, assuming the mint realizes what the price of silver is.
Depending on the year, there is different mintages at different mints. ASE experts here can fill you in. Btw, yes these are proofs, so not bullion issues, my comment about them was simply due to the fact they are effectively charging $49 per ounce for the price to convert silver into this proof coin. That simply seems very high to me, especially considering its the same design they have been striking for 27 years now.
The last I saw was $259.95 for the 2013 P-Pucks. That was on the Mint website before they went to TBA. Surely they will adjust that price, especially with those designs.
Hope so. I am what I consider a fair guy, and know they cannot do it for free, but $100 per coin premium for a non-proof is also high in my eyes.
Why does everyone keep on thinking that this is a bullion coin set? If everyone had a choice to pick their price that they think would be reasonable, what would it be?
even forgetting the fact that it is bullion the price is way to high. i think 99.99 is my top price to spend on it
