They are very beautiful coins. I'm a fan of the 1700s reales myself.

    Yours are simply amazing.

Most specimens of this die marriage have a weakly-struck obverse. This was the result of deep hubbing (devices were punched into the die too deep). Since the dies were hubbed so deep, the planchet metal could not sufficiently flow into the die's recesses when the coin was struck.

Later die-states also show evidence of strong die clashing on the obverse, some of the strongest in the series. My coin was struck relatively early in the die's life, but clashing is still visible at the cap and in the right-obverse field.

Trust me when I say the 1929 Buffalo Nickel's were not struck out very well. So, when I'm at coin shows or just on the hunt for Buffs I'm always looking for dates that are a little tougher than the rest and the 29 fits that bill. I ran across this one on the bay from a respectable seller so I pulled the trigger. I received this one yesterday and I've gotta say I can't remember a 29 that is so clean and just about blemish free. This one is housed in a pcgs holder graded 64+ but I think it's closer to a 65+. At any rate I feel the need to show this one. I think it's an amazing Buff for the grade and well struck too. Thanks for looking and all the best to ya....DEX

My latest two purchases. Both were slabbed and freed from their plastic prisons.
