The Victoria portrait with a crown on a large Canada cent was introduced in 1876 & used to 1901, so 1881 could be a good guess.
Is there is any trace of an H mint mark at all (below & between where the 8's would be)?

Got these stunners today. The '47 is a proof-like monster!

Saved the best for last before bed. '47. Reverse is nothing special, but the supernova explosion of blue and purple on the obverse is truly a sight!
